Holler. Rooms For Rent! – IBilik!!

Recently I’ve been in contact with much tuition kids from overseas and also going to start SOT.
many of my tuition kids been saying that singapore rooms are hard to find and good landlord too.

One of my friend then mentioned Singapore Rooms for Rental to me and so i decided to check it out.

I really like the conciseness of the website. I could easily browse through the different areas and the different rooms for rental.
It helps searching for rooms so much easier as at one glance i can tell what kind of rooms are available in the area i’m interested in. I no longer have to search the web, trying to look for rooms one by one and area by area. The hassle of it all has always make room renting so troublesome, even for me when i was trying to locate a place for myself to stay in, in the past 2 years have been nothing but hassle.  BUT! the solution to it all, IBilik has provided a easy search function

and what’s more…..

the site provided pictures of the rooms! i personally think that that’s an most awesome feature, i can tell how’s the condition of the place i’m about to rent looks like, ULTRA plus point!

Also, i love the different categories, like “Short Term Rental”. i didn’t even know such rental exists in Singapore, i believe that would be very nice for people who are traveling to Singapore for a short tint and finds it too expensive to stay in Singapore Hotels, the site will provide a very good alternative for foreign visitors. I would love to have such a site to look for when i travel overseas! This just makes traveling way easier, and way cheaper. Plus Plus Point right here!.

And as the site has one of the largest database , it makes it convenient for everyone, just go to the one site, and you’re set for whatever rooms rental needs you have in Singapore!

Check it out if you need a room in Singapore, my friends!

A long due goodbye 2011. Hello 2012.

2nd Month into 2012, i’ve decided that it’s been too long overdue for a post like this.
Saying goodbyes to my 2011, and starting 2012.

2011.

It was a bittersweet year. Bitter, yes, Sweet, yes as well.
It was a year that i didn’t start off too well, but through one person, was inspired to pick my walk up with God.

2011, was a year of many, many battles, and also, 2011 was the year i’ve lost a companion for 10 years.
I never really grew up with much people at home, but my faithful boy, my dog made it all easier for me to go home each day.
but yet i thank God because Cino gave me 10 years of wonderful memories that i still keep close to my heart till today. Though i lost him, i adopted another dog, unknowingly she becomes a part of my life, and well =) just happy to have another companion.

In late 2011, i think i made one of the more important decisions in my life when i clicked submitted to SOT 2012, i guess that will be a big change to many things. Now, stepping into 2012, I’ve resigned, picked up new jobs, and also anticipating the start of SOT. Though tiring, but my heart is filled with excitement and thankfulness that God’s grace and mercy have allowed me to come thus far.

Back to 2011,
in 2010, i’ve learnt to embrace God and love God once again and in 2011, i experienced God in a brand new way, much better. Many many encounters with God that i’ll keep close to my heart, and ending off 2011 with a birthday celebration for someone i love dearly and also thanksgiving and Ipoh Trip.

i guess ipoh trip was much a highlight for the end of the year, had a much needed break from Singapore and also good time spent with some of the best people. =)

Coming to 2012, this year i want to know Know, Serve, Love.
to know God more, to serve Him more and to Love Him more.
to know people more, to serve people more and to love people more.

in this year, as i going to embark on SOT in 20 days. i’m going to try to blog an encounter each day with God.
Documenting each and every part of the journey.

more than that, it is amazing how God been providing even before SOT. giving me the part time NIE job and also tuitions.

i know and i know, 2012 is going to be my best year yet. most of all, my best year with God yet. =)

i guess that was goodbye

i guess that was goodbye.
it was a painful night 05082011.
i watched him breathing his last in my arms. yet he was so strong.
even though he had no strength to walk, he never wanted to pee in his own bed, and the place he slept.
he would try to walk towards the kitchen, though he would fall but he gets up every single time. till he made it there.

he was frail but never failed to greet me in his last days.

his whines echoed through the night, and it was deafening to my heart.
i knew his time was about to be up.. and i sat by him and accompanied him. he was strong, a very strong boy.
he struggled to live on, but as he heard me telling him to go, he howled and went. there he was, in my arms. his body went cold.. and it was goodbye.

i first got him when i was only 12.

i remembered when he first came, this tiny little furball was shivering in my sister’s arms and whined the entire night the first night he was here. had to sleep on the floor to accompany to ensure he’s not scared..

soon he got used to us, and started to be a little naughty but way smart..
kept him in the kitchen door but he figured a way out the next day.
i couldn’t leave any tissue papers lying around because he would shred them apart.
i couldn’t give him soft toys that was filled with those small beads/beans as well as he would tear the toy apart and make a mess out of the whole house.

he didn’t know how to jump up the bed, i taught him how to, and the next day i came home, he peed and poo-ed on my bed. then all hell broke loose as he would jump everywhere in the house. including up the dining table and finishing every single dish except the vegetables. he broke 2 dozens eggs when eggs costed 50cents for one.

he bit a panasonic gd 88 and broke off the antenna of the phone, he was naughty. very naughty.
though he knew how to jump up and down the sofas and the beds, but he never knew how to go down the stairs. had to coax and teach him. by placing apple slices one by one down the steps, and he would try to go down one by one down the stairs upon calling him and he would take one tiny step .. only to take large steps and nearly ran away when he was 2years old.

he was a naughty boy but yet a darling to my heart.
he slept with me by my side every single night. he would bark and whine to get his way.
he would stay by my side as i worked late.
he would wait for me by the door every single day.

he made a house into a home for me.
my house, a quiet and cold place was made into a place i would want to go home and see him and be with him.

as i was growing up, many things happened but he stayed as a friend and as a family.
he. was the epitome of loyalty and friendship to me.

i guess that was goodbye.

goodbye my friend, my boy and my family.
i’m missing you a lot, your smell, your companionship.

but i’m glad you don’t have to suffer anymore.

goodbye cino..

The Little Red Book Of Wisdom

The Little Red Book of Wisdom offers time-tested principles for professional and personal fulfillment.

Mark DeMoss gathers insights for living wisely from history, Scripture, and a lifetime of listening. The result is a handy, accessible book that gives readers a new way to enjoy lasting success in the work world and beyond. Topics include finding and keeping your focus in life, building a winning corporate culture, and setting aside time for good thinking.

we only learnt wisdom in 2 ways in my opinion

1) through hard lessons like experiences

2) through a mentor or through learning from others.

i love the way Mark DeMoss explain the principles through stories and also loved the principles given in the book, wise advice, and how the wisdom is divided into the professional and personal life, we all need books like this in our life to remind us to pursue wisdom and knowledge.

Billy Graham in Quotes

Book Description

A note from Franklin Graham: “My father, Billy Graham, is known for speaking out about the one and only thing that matters in this world: the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He remembers the call of God seven decades ago to preach the Word of God to all those who would listen about salvation that comes only through Christ. He took this high calling with seriousness and boldness in obedience to God and once said, ‘I will travel anywhere in the world to preach if there are no strings on what I am to say.’

“My father has always prayed that his words would reflect God’s standard of truth as the basis to claim, ‘I have given them Your word’ (John 17:14). In this book, I believe you will see that he has faithfully spoken God’s Word that quenches the thirst of those seeking to draw from the wellsprings of Life. It is highly meaningful to see these statements now collected in one volume.”

Drawn from an unparelleled collection of both personal and published works, Billy Graham provides input on more than one hundred topics, such as suffering, joy, money, addictions, peace, and many more.

Jesus, My Father, The CIA, and Me – Ian Cron

Book Description

An entertaining, touching memoir of life with an alcoholic father who secretly works with the CIA, a dark pilgrimage through the valley of depression and addiction, and finding a faith to redeem and a strength to forgive.

At the age of sixteen, Ian Morgan Cron was told that his stockbroker father actually worked with the CIA. The story of this world-rocking discovery is the stepping-off point into a fascinating exploration of one man’s alternately heartbreaking and humorous journey to faith and spiritual growth.

Born into a family of privilege and power, Ian’s life is populated with colorful people and stories, including the account of an alcoholic father who takes his family on a wild roller-coaster ride through wealth and poverty and back again. Includes tales of a nearly blind English nanny who teaches him what love means, a famous New York radio personality who saves his life, a simple carpenter who leads him to faith in Jesus, and his own personal journey from addiction to twenty-three years of sobriety.

Believers and seekers alike will be moved by how Ian uncovers and honors what is sacred in his story, how he discovers God in the struggle to find redemption, and how the mysterious movement and presence of God is woven throughout the adventure of his life.

My Review

This book is a MUST READ, MUST BUY

In this surprisingly funny and forgiving memoir, Ian reminds us that no matter how different the pieces may be, in the end we are all cut from the same cloth, stitched by faith into an exquisite quilt of grace, in all honesty i’ve thought lesser about the book looking at the cover and the title

However, what Cron packed inside was mind blowing, it’s a story of acceptance, forgiveness and yet at the same time his humor injected made sure you’re able to swallow the truths contained in the writing. It’s the kind of reading when you read about others yet at the same time, it’s so thought provoking for yourself. a page turning book, buy it.

keep it simple.

In the wee hours of the morning.
I hate to admit but this hasn’t been the best of any week in fact, its been bad.

So yes, I’ve been up many nights this week cause my heart feels troubled.

But in the midst of all that, when I was about to ask myself, how is it that when I’m a little older, life seems to be more complicated, then I realized, you know I’m the one who complicates it.
Life is simple, why complicate it?
Love is simple, why complicate it?

When I was younger, love and life was simple because I viewed them in a simple perspective, you either love or hate, there’s no in between, life isn’t fair but God is fair in giving chances.

So now that I’m a little older, why did I complicate it?

Of which, of course I don’t know how to answer. But I prayed a little prayer today, it goes..

“Dear God,
I rarely pray about things I want, but today I want to ask of You of one thing, that is that You give me the grace to be able to dwell in Your house all thew days of my life, and God, give me the strength and grace to never forget to a keep a simple love for You. In Jesus’s name, Amen”

Month Of June.

it’s end of June 2011 already.

How time flies.

I’ve already turned 22 and 1 month.

June was a busy month, but a rather spectacular and definitely one of the Moment with my Maker i’ll not forget.

it all began on 31st of May when i received a word from God that as i grow up, working, being busier, that i should also not lose sight of my dreams and also not lose sight of My Maker.

well it was a word in a season but it didn’t really sink in, until 3rd of June, when the same word was preached again in cell group, there it really felt like God’s asking me to draw close to Him and He knows my desires.

the same word came again during the service on my birthday itself, but more than that Pst K laid hands, and God touched me at that moment.

it must have been one of the best gift God could ever give me, a word and His assurance.

and if that wasn’t enough

God came so strongly during Higher.
alongside with the word given, His assurance, there was a reviving during Higher

a reviving of my spirit to His.
a reviving of my dreams to His.

it seemed that God came and turned the ashes into a beautiful dream again
i can’t thank God enough for the word, His assurance but more than that, His revival spirit that revives me during Higher.

the word given, be patient and expect strongly

such word in season, such word that compliments keeping my dreams alive.

i can only say, thank You Jesus. i’ve indeed come up Higher this June.

on other hand, i’m really glad to be able to sneak some time to spend my birthday with my leader, my very good friends, mic, ipei, pam, max, yanling and the cell group. also meeting up my personal friends from poly.
i’m glad that God given me the chance to meet people like mic up, it really blesses my heart. =)

thank You God. for a great 22nd, and a great Higher life with You.
